Subject: Making hair in 3D Max

just had an IM asking the same question. having never modelled hair,I'd probably select a bunch of edges from the head,then extrude them into strips,apply a 'face' uv map & add several divisions so it bends. then maybe add a cloth modifier & run a sim to get it falling corectly or you could go the high poly route & use the hair & fur modifier & convert that to splines...though that would be overkill there must be some tut's for modelling hair out there "that's the real key; knowing how to use the app well enough to attempt something like this!" agreed,once you know the tools then making anything is alot easier
