The Electronic Frontier Foundation said the latest version of Google Desktop posed a risk to privacy. Its Google Desktop who is the culprit. Don't install it if you want to be sure, otherwise pay real good attention to the configuration of the program.

Don't have Google Desktop and don't need it. I have Web Ferret.Watch out then. Microsoft are bringing a desktop search program like googles one. @erosiaart thanks for the heads up on this, my wife was thinking of installing that one from google today so now i have proof its not a good idea :)

Well, im alright, i always keep my system with minimum stuff installed or running. :) Ive also made a habit of uninstalling or turning off several unnecessary windows services as well, such as MSN(the very first thing that goes ), indexing etc.
