Oddly, there are applications designed to "reverse engineer" "point clouds." I downloaded a demo of one and tried it on a stripped Vicki 2 morph. The result isn't pretty but some of the other apps may do a better job--I didn't see any way to adjust the process on this one. I doubt you could ever get a perfect recreation of the original .obj though.
