Subject: I for one am not a fan of the new window that opens up everytime I click a pic

I don't need a whole whack of new windows opening everytime I click a thumbnail nor do I like that clicking the picture closes the window as I have the habit of clicking the center of the screen to make sure the current window is active... but that just closes it...! Maybe if rendo's thumbs opened ONE new window and then if you clicked another thumbnail is reloaded the new pic in the SAME new window rather than just open another one...?? [/rant] Sean

I agree, the click-to-close thing is really annoying because I also click the center to make active. Though, I guess if you use a tabbed browser and open new tabs for every image, this would cut down on the number of windows you have open...

mabe they could do some minimal javascript thing to deter leeches from remote linking to the stuff.

I used to use the tabs, but I actually prefer the way it is now. For me it also works quicker. Don't shoot me though ;) lol

It's SUPER easy to prevent remote linking. It takes about 4 or 5 lines in an .htaccess or domain conf file. There's no need to force new windows all the time. Thankfully, all my new windows open in a tab of my existing browser, rather than cluttering up the screen with a bajillion new browser windows. I'm not really a fan of the forced open in new windows in any event. It's pretty simple for a user to right click and open in a new window (or tab, if they're using a good browser). bonni

shrinks in I like the new load. I don't know how many times in the past I had thought "gee, this would just be easier for me if these opened in a new window" runs away afore Bon beats me up

I am getting used to the windows popping up. I too click on the screen to make sure it's active, but I don't click on the image itself now, just below or above it. I would rather have them fix the site so it doesn't go down in the middle of the night any more. They can put as many bloody windows up as they want just so long as I can post my images when I want. I can't even get in my gallery now to post. Sigh oh well. Life is going on regardless.

Ever since I started using Opera to look at Rosity, it's alot easier. The new window thing didn't bother me as much as the new window didn't open in full screen in IE. Opera allows all tabs to open in full screen, which is easier...

BTW, should not be hard to have it open one window and keep using the same window with a little javascript and a name for the window in the open call.

Opera allows all tabs to open in full screen, which is easier... So does Firefox, for what it's worth. bonni

I like the new window thing, then again I'm a massive right click open in new window person anyhow. With how slow things load from here, I often do it in the galleries and let several windows open in the background while I'm still browsing thumbs. The click on the pic close thing is annoying though. As several have mentioned, I also click in the middle of a window when I'm changing focus.
