First, do you want to pay for your site, or have a free one? Many free ones will not allow you to directly link your content somewhere else. Sites that you pay for cost money, but are much nicer about allowing you to direct link to another site. (Make sure to talk with them before signing up. My host does not allow most direct links, but when I explained my situation, they said they'd allow it. They don't want Napster or Warez servers.) For a paying site, I highly recommend Communitech.net. I get 350Mb of space with 25Gb of bandwidth per month of data transfer and a static IP. Depending on how many months you pay up front, it can be as low as $22 per month. They also offer a lot of extras, including Perl, PHP and MySQL. Note: I have no ties to them except for my web space and get no commissions from sales. I'm just a happy camper. I don't know what good, free sites are available. Most are garbage.
