I made a comment to a picture and then later made another comment. But then I looked and seen the 1st comment I made was gone. Have you changed things so we can only have one comment pre image or is this some bug?

You have always been able to make only one comment per image. The only person who can make multiple comments is the image poster. Karen

Ok I guess the images I made more then one comment in was my own. Never knew it was set up that was so thanks for telling me. But if you already posted like I said it still lets you post again and deletes the 1st comment, so should you not let us or give a warning that posting a comment again will delete your 1st comment.

Yes, a warning is a good idea. I'll bring this up as a suggestion for when we roll out the new community software. Thanks :-)

Yes a warning would be nice because I had to redo the 1st post and then added the 2nd post to it. I was lucky that I seen what happen and was able to use the back button and copy the first post over. Thanks again Karen. :-)

Karen, Originally, anybody could make more than one comment. That led to some people abusing the situation with nasty back&forth name-calling wars and trolling, especially in the political section. The change was made when I was a mod, perhaps before you came onboard? Quite a while ago in Forum time. ;^) Carolly

Hey Carolly :-) I can remember this being in effect from before I was a mod. I got in conversation with someone on a pic of mine and couldn't work out why their previous comments kept deleting. So I guess it must have been back in early 2004, something like that. Karen :-)

Karen, I wish all conversations about images were so constructive! A single pertinant comment is worth 20 "OMG!" anyday. :) Carolly

I am only talking about the pass year so guess what I was doing was talking more them once in my own image post.
