Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
That's interesting because when I import a Poser-exported OBJ Bryce NEVER asks me to locate the texture; sometimes the figure shows up with a texture and sometimes it doesn't. Mystifying. Anyway, if you're not sure how to apply a texture to a Poser Figure in Bryce the Poser 4 manual has a detailed description (p. 328-331). Hope this is of some help; I realize I didn't answer your question directly but I don't know the answer myself. -bill
Ookami, don't ungroup. Just point you mouse to what you want to select and cntrl/click each thing. When you do that, you will get a little menu for the things 'under' your mouse. Pick the ones you want. For instance, if you want to select all the skin, cntrol/click on each body part-name each one as 'skin', also select a color for the 'skin' (say pink). Then when you are done doing all your selecting, you can choose 'pink'/skin and ALL the skin will show up and you can apply your texture. This way you don't have to ungroup the figure. This is pretty much Spike's (and Mike's) approach (which they nicely shared with me)-wish one would write a simple tutorial and put it on their web page. Diane

I exported my poser figure as a OBJ and imported it into Bryce 4. When importing, Bryce asked me to locate the texture. But the figure shows up gray... any ideas why? Thanks! PS - This is Poser 4 and Bryce 4
