I got a very big list of hits here, by a search on "grain" (no quotes, of course). BTW, have been getting graininess with metallic reflections. This is fixed by setting "Blurred reflection" to zero in materials. I also disable that feature in renders. Suspect it could also affect water and other reflections.

I must have searched for every word dealing with render, grainy, settings, etc. Still can't find that post. I sure wish the forums were easier to search! Maybe I saw this in another forum. I could have sworn it was here though and I think it was written by Lyne.

Thanks Lyne for sending me the link - That was what I saw and tried at work. This does make a huge difference in render times and quality! I try to send myself a reminder of when/where I find gems like this.LVS - Where Learning is Fun!

In the last month or so there was a post about how to change the render settings to reduce the graininess. For the life of me I can't find that post. I've tried searching, archieves, etc. Anyone know what post I am talking about? Thanks! Peggy
