I have to disagree with saying files starting in "Runtime" are okay. I, too, tend to put downloaded files in separate folders than are specified by the author's zip file. This is because I may not wish to keep certain files after downloading and it's easier to find a file in a folder >I've< created rather than having to hunt through the Runtime/Geometries/etc... or Runtime/texture/male/etc... (as the case may be). As Macximus said, the Read-me's are invaluable. But the programs that are written to automatically place files in the Poser folders are a real hinderance. Just my 2 pence worth.
