Not starting a hassle, I got this in an email from someone else who was shocked.<<< Shocked? By what? The fact that someone offering a free service could no longer afford to keep it free since they were being taken advantage of? Or shocked that there are actually those out there who would take such advantge by using programs that basically allow them to suck a site dry while harming all other users as well as the site operator? Bandwidth does not grow on trees. Yes, I would have liked to have known what was going on. I kept wondering why the site had slowed so noticeably. Now I know. And I am wondering how this will affect those who have purchased the PoserWorld CDs and the use rights of the site content. But, I'm still going to give Steve and the others time. Why? BECAUSE AFTER ALL THEY HAVE GIVEN US FREE, IT IS THE VERY LEAST THAT CAN BE DONE. And if they decide to go subscription, and the price is reasonable, I WILL be there. >>>Don't be evasive, and please don't falsely accuse me of "starting a hassle" because that's not fair. I think the hassle started due to a combination of things. Unfortunately, those conditions seem to be rapidly becoming common not only within this community but the net as a whole. I think people are getting hurt and are getting angry because their generosity and trust are being abused. We've seen it highlighted very clearly here just recently. And sometimes, I am sure, it just... gets to you. Steve, Rena, Schlabber and the others are good, generous people. I am sure they have went through some very painful weeks over what is happening right now. Whether you agree or disagree with them -- or even understand what or why they are doing -- grant them the benefit of the doubt. Grant them the benefit of trust. They did to us and we abused it. Yes, I think we at least owe them that. Anyway, just so you know and because it many times doesn't come through over the net, I am not in any way trying to condemn or hassle. I guess I'm just babbling to get it off my chest. Make any sense? Take care.
