Marque..I would like to answer to your puzzlement..it's very simple indeed! Most of subscription money will be used to get extra T1 servers as it looks that we badly need them if PW & FW are about to consume HALF of the server's total bandwidth..which up to yesterday..that WAS the case! We left our old server just because we couldn't afford the bandwidth extra charge..Allen (our InternetEYE3D boss) spent a lot of money to get a server of his own and still provide all this for free. But once we grew further and made a little cozy place for all of us to relax in together, we started having serious problems than none ever expected. Some people go for the whole sites right at once!!! Newbies mostly I gather..who on earth would still wish for my very first character the Alternate Fairy, a Poser 3 one?? Yet, it was 3rd item in download preference last week!!! Now you see what I mean?? They have discovered a resource of endless freebies and they just want them ALL NOW!!! Sorry but there's no way me or steve or allen pay for the bandwidth their short mind needs! So since we tried almost every trick out, every script, every precaution to limit this..still they found ways to go about it! If you had a look at the stats page of every single hour on PW server,as we do, you'd be amazed and what people do to get whatever available for free! :o( I dont blame Allen a bit for finally shutting down his biggest problem on the server..Poserworld & Fairywoods. I would too if I were in his shoes..would you handle it any other way yourself??? If there's anyone whose ever fought harder for freebies around this forum than steve and me I'd like to know..but yet it's not possible we carry on our shoulders any more the stupidity of just a few who don't respect others and care just about themselves...so simple an issue I'm afraid! :o( Either we support and care for our home or we get it fall apart in ruins! :o(
