Its true, Bryce trees are very render heavy, because they are basically lattices, which when used in abundence take a long time to render. You cant speed it up with RAM, or a 3D card.....it just takes time and a really good processor. You could add in the background trees in Photoshop or some other image editor, or just simultate treetops somehow. I'm sure the tress you want to import wont have the same effect bryce trees do.
