Camera phones are geared and marketed to the casual, snapshot masses. For most people, the quality is just fine for what they do...email and share images with family and friends! Not only that, its convenient NOT to have to lug around a seperate camera. I was at a concert and people were snapping away getting shots of Bruce Springsteen...someone near me actually used his Blackberry device to record video of a song! The voyerism thing is a real problem! I believe they were trying to pass a law somewhere that would force camera phones to emit an audible "camera shutter" sound that couldn't be turned off "as a kind of warning" that someone is taking a pic!
