Personally I cant stand camera phones, I had real trouble trying to get a decent featured phone that didnt have a camera in it lol. I can see the fun novelty value and thats great if you enjoy it (Im not a killjoy) its just not for me. Voyeurism has always been an issue, the only difference being that now it is mush more easy to intrude on peoples privacy, Im not particularly photogenic, so I'm not over keen on being in front of the camera, but if someone wishes to photograph me walking down the street or having a coffee, I dont personally have an objection to it. The UK has one of the most densely distributed network of CCTV in the world, so if people arent doing it, big brother is! From a photographers point of view I dont intentionally make captures of people (except consenting models/people that I ask permission from ) or as a very small part of much larger scene as a minute detail to give the impression of scale, obviously that isnt 100% accurate, if shooting sport then the subjects arent aware of me, but generally accept that if they are engaging in sport that there is a likelihood that they will be photographed. I agree that these and some other cam phone images do have an element of charm to them, although they are generally very poor quality.

The Truth is Out There
