Thanks for the comments. Hope this will answer some of your questions. vkirchner: Yes I plan to use procedural textures, UV Mapping and standard image mapping such as cubic, planar etc. Procedural textures have come a long way, and are sometimes under utilised. archdruid: Still haven't decided on the final scene as that will probably influence the texturing process. Basic textures will be UV mapped using commercial textures as well as digital photos. I tend to overlay a lot of textures so photoshop will be used extensively. One of the ideas was to make a snow scene, so if thats the case the textures will be pretty basic due to snow coverage. Once the scene is built I'll do basic lighting setup, so texturing will definately be last. kenmo: Thanks Kenmo. I modelled it in Lightwave. Mikewave: Thanks. Started out using 3D Max years ago for a short time but then changed to Lightwave. Warlock279: Your spot on. There will be some optimising when I'm finished. There are some areas where I can shed some polys without losing the quality of the mesh. Though I try to keep the poly count in mind, sometimes you need them. I'll post a WIP of the scene when I make some progress. Cheers...
