Subject: A question about the LCD screens on modern cameras...

You can get a screen hood, which adds shade to the hood on a bright day but they are akward to use. The screen your are looking for is a screen that has anti reflective cover. i.e. it doesn't reflect the light like a mirror. The fact that LCDs are not the most effective way of taking a pic is known by DSLR users, hence why you HAVE to look thru the viewfinder, viewfinders are brighter and no reflections. But to fix the prob you have right now a screen hood would be the best bet... PLus bigger LCD's eat your battery for Breakfast...
