I've highlighted the areas of the material editor you need to be concerned about for transparent items. For the eyelashes (for which the image is relevant), you need to apply a transmap. For the eyebrows, you just need to set both transparency settings (max and min) to 100% Catharina's Tomy just uses eyebrows painted on the head texture, if I recall correctly.
