Very interesting reading everyone's comments on this. The one thing I have to agree with is that most of the DSLRs out there are of very good quality, from the Canon Rebel 350D to the Olympus E500 to the Nikon D200. Any of these will produce a quality image, though maybe be suited better to different shooting conditions and one may just feel better in your hands than another. But as Nikki said, bodies will change, but lenses will last far longer. Get quality optics. Good luck and keep us updated.
