Only to show you it can be done without trying so hard. This was taken using the buit in flash. And its being handheld...with one hand even. I held the icicle in one hand and the cam with the other. Shutterspeed was 2000/1 i think and ISO was 50. Taken outside in bright daylight.

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?
