I think Baron Vlad may be something over a posterchild for the alarm and despondency over merchants leaving, without warning. He seemed to be caught out by a batch of deletions, just after Christmas, and while some of his material was pushing at limits, I still find it hard to understand why some items vanished when they did. While Renderosity talks of there being a community, it's a bit of an illusion. If the community side were important, there would have been some sort of announcement of where Baron Vlad went. Is there anywhere that would be the town newspaper of the Poser community, rather than the Walmart? It is at this point that a seriously warped version of the Parrot Sketch comes to mind, ending with, "Well, if he is dead I could put up an obituary."
