Subject: i screwed up my poser and dont know how to fix it.

i accidentally set my opening preference to the image that i had on the screen at the time and when i tried to fix it i guess i screwed it up even more...as you can see from the image below something is dreadfully wrong...anyone know how i can fix this? i have the preferences now set to open to a blank grey screen and when i import vicky shes got some issues. any help would be appreciated.

Is this poer 4 or poser artist..if so go to your RuntimeGeometriesDAZPeople and delete the RSR file for Vicky, if your not sure which that is just delete all the files ending with .rsr poser will build new ones....if its poser 5 or 6 i'd try reinstalling her......Steve

Another thing you can do is open the Hiearchy Window and see if the head, chest abdomen and hip are visable, the little circle next to the name should be whitish. That might help you in determining whether or not you have a geometry rsr problem as Syeve pointed out. As fast way to check, in the HW, is to click on Univere then click on it again...toggle off and on.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

If it's Poser 5/6, go to Edit->Preferences and select "Launch to factory state" OK, you'll lose an stuff you've set up, but it's quicker than re-installing..:-)) (Then close & restart Poser)... Cheers, Diolma

thanks everybody for the advice...turns out all i needed to do was restart poser lol god i hate this pos laptop
