Subject: High Res materials?

Hi, Does anyone know were I might find some high resolution materials for vue. any time I try to do a close-in shot, the terrain buckles and distorts. (does the same thing in bryce). Basically I am trying to build some terrain objects to use for a Daz Studio scene I am doing, ( a cliff, of which my characters are posed on, over looking a city scape-am using dystopia).-when I converted the the vue to wavefront obj. format, I had the image maps sized at 4018 by 4018- and included the bump map. (normaly a 4k sized image map looks great in daz, but the ones vue is creating don't) if you need me to I can post the objects-(if that is ok) David

The thing is when you export your terrain in a3d file format, Vue will create an image to map your terrain. This image represents the procedural material you chose to texture your terrain. It doesn't always work right. Also, what is the size of your Vue terrain? The standard resolution is 256x256, which is very low. You need 1024 to get a better result.

That makes sense--I did not adjust the resolution in VUE I will try that... Thanks David

No, Zack, you can't do that in Esprit, only Infinite, and only with objects that are not locked from export by their creator. But Vue terrains ( not procedurals) can be exported, and with any Vue version (although I don't think Easel can export anything). This option is in the terrain editor window.
