You can create linear alphas like this. The blending input will clamp the overrun. I combine my textures separate from the bumps, using 2 blenders with the same alpha input. You can also adjust the specular and the highlights with other blenders with the appropriate alpha attached. This is what most second skin lacks. I think the mat room is even more powerful than we know.
