In a recent IM from a forum moderator, I was told the following regarding 'forums' .... QUOTE -- "The Community Center Forum: This forum serves by assisting members with Renderosity issues such as FAQs, updates, ideas, improvements, events, navigation, feature use, and general site questions." CLOSE QUOTE -- I was told that the forum was here to assist the artists in their endeavors about the arts. With all due respect, GOD bless smilies and avatars. They are cute, I have to admit. However, I fail to see how they assist an artist in becoming better. Also, I cannot help but notice a varying list of questions and posts already asking how things work at this new venue. From my humble perspective, I would have preferred that more pre-planning was done as to making a 'how to' link or page for all members and those who will be hopefully joining in the future. In in earlier post, I was told that such a list is now being looked into. I've been here since 2004 (to the chagrin of many) and I see the same repeat questions always asked. I was once told the moderators did not have enough time to greet each new person at this site and explain how it operated. I agree. They do yeoman's work already. Thus, to me, it makes even more sense to have such a 'how to' area where newbies or oldbies (smile) can visit and make our moderator's lives so much easier and less time consuming. Just this old geezer's ''pre-war'' thoughts. WINK. Again, my thanks to all for their efforts on behalf of all artists and writers. Now, if there is someone reading this that I have not yet offended, I have one question: When I view this forum, I see the avatars and names at the left side of my screen. However, I then have to scroll across my p.c. screen to the right in order to fully view all the text for each post. Then I have to scroll back to the left to see the next post in that thread. Wash, rinse, repeat. Well, you get the idea. I was told to check my 'screen size'? It should be 1024? I always thought it was? (I have no trouble, whatsoever, in viewing my normal 'gallery' page. It 'fits' fine). How does one check to see which setting their p.c. screen monitor is on and how does one change it if needed. Thanks kindly for any/all help. PEACE. T.P.
