Hi folks Suddenly my Poser6 SR2 is starting to launch this popup each time I open a saved scene. I find I've lose morphs in my characters: a M3 based character is now only M3 (all face morphs dissapeared). What can I do???

Casette, I would bet that some how your software either switched on external morph geometry or switched it off (depending on how you had youe runtime set up. THis happened to me when I ran one of the upgrades, and once after Poser failed to s/d properly. check your options settings. mike

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Poser. Don't know if it will help, but it might.

Personally I dont use that external morph crap its more trouble than its worth sure my PZ3's are large but I have a 160 gig hd just for them so no problem

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Sun, 09 April 2006 at 8:33 PM

I have had them turned off since about day two. They cause nothing but trouble.

YEah, unfortunatly it sounds like Poser can't read one of the morph external geometry files. Either it's been damaged, possibly by an interrpted write or a bad sector on your hard drive that now can't be read from. I can't think of any easy way to recover this. mike

Fantastic. Well, I'm ready for the disaster. I've uninstalled my P6 and now I'm reinstalling it. Of course, my original runtime is protected, and I have a whole copy of it in my external HD Crossing fingers...

Well. It was a case of corrupted files, Your Honour. I uninstalled and reinstalled Poser6 but the trouble remained. So I started to test my files and I discovered than all of them opened ok but not the last three ones... which was the ones with I did the test. As it was a comic and I had saved a lot of different times the same archive, I'm working now with a non-corrupted version I love uninstall and reinstall Poser for nothing... but... life is life :blushing:
