Ah well - gonna hit the sack now I think.

Before I do though, I just want to state the obvious here :

Custom backgrounds AND custom text colouring is just not going to work - one will have to go.

The only way to get round this problem (other than to disable custom backgrounds), is to design a set of preset colour-schemes that can be set from a drop-down menu.  BUT - you would also need to LIMIT the colours available for text (these colours should be limited to ones that can actually be SEEN on ALL available preset colour-schemes) - it really is THAT simple.

That way - you please those with over-sensitive retinas - as well as those that MUST be different in order to satisfy their mind.  And finally - it would still allow control over preventing Renderosity looking like some dipshit has raided the local ICI paint-mixer and threw it at the forums.

This is vile - period.
