One issue here is the problem of what tends to happen with software packages in general. Upgrades get driven by the Marketing Department. To generate more revenue, the company wants to release new versions, and the MD doesn't want to promote version N+1 with the slogan "Now! No longer crashes as often as version N did!". So the programmers are told to spend their time adding lots of new features instead of fixing bugs.

And alas, we users are so gullible as to fall for this and let the software house get away with it. This is why we have to live with crappy software; I'm not targetting specifically e-on here, there are worse offenders.

This thread is a hostage to fortune. It sends out the message that if e-on were to release Vue 6 with some of the features suggested, we would buy it - even if it didn't fix the bugs in Vue 5.
