I agree with the kudos to Eovia. I bought Hexagon yesterday -- an extravagance on my budget -- because I have such confidence that they will deliver on the promises of Hex 2.0. Carrara is one of the great success stories of the industry, in terms of quality if not market share. In fact I was heartbroken when they did not emerge as the new owners from the wreckage of Poser 5. I don't know if they had to rewrite the code of RDS from the ground up, the way someone will have to do for Poser to fix it, but Carrara is RDS body-sculpted, sent to college, and driving a Porsche it earned. If they owned Poser, it would work.
Eovia is one of those old-fashioned companies with values that predate the current wisdom, the sociopathic business ethic that teaches tech support their primary task is to get rid of you and sales departments that once you make the big score, individual customers don't matter any more and a "personal promise" (and a nice round butt on this year's sales slut) matter more than quality. Reward them for their real wisdom as often as you can.
