"I think the reason you didn't have to SHIFT/REFRESH was because you purge your cache everytime you close your browser"

-But, I don't read one thread, close my browser, and then open a new window to read another thread. And, that is Firefox that does that, and I'm back to using my I.E. and (usually) only purging everything before shutting down for the night.

But, shift+refresh is very good info to know from now on, thanks for the new know-how.
