I've used SnowSultan's Globall lighting quite a few times and think it works very well if you have the patience to adjust all the lights to achieve the effect you are looking for. The link is to one of my images where the effect came out as perfectly as I had imagined it to look. Yes, it took some time to get it just so but well worth the effort. Most of the time working on an image, for me, is getting the lighting right, then second would be the posing. One can spend hours and hours working on both.
