I've used Bryce and Carrara extensively. If you have only used Carrara 2.1 then you need to download the 5.1 demo. It is like night and day, and the interface is updated. As far as Bryce, I wouldn't want to see any of it in Carrara. Bryce is old , slow, and very limited. Carrara has far surpassed Bryce in speed, functionality and features. In my opinion people should just forget about Bryce and move on to Carrara. Honestly, I opened Bryce once about a year ago, and I felt like both hands were tied behind my back.
