This buy out by DAZ seems to continue the progress of Carrara (and Hexagon) from "pro-oriented" rendering software to "Poser oriented" software. Poser software has a much larger user base of people willing to spend money on do-dads and I am sure bottom lines will improve and grow with the recent change in management.

For me, if I ever manage to download the software worth $2 that I paid $99 for, I will take my business elsewhere.
