there are some good tutorials at poser fashion as well. i use formerly converted clothing quite a bit, because i've been comparing poser's cloth solver with maya's (what can i say, i am a techie). there can be problems depending on the construction, yes -- anything that produces unavoidable intersections won't work at all (such as shirts with closed sleeves), and complicated clothing with fiddly parts is more trouble than it's worth. but with that in mind most of the clothing i've tried works well for me. and the advantage is pretty clear -- one can take clothing that one already has, instead of having to hunt for something similar among the as yet meager dynamic pickings. there is quite a learning curve though -- choosing the right clothing, learning what to constrain, and then of course the cloth parameters themselves, and how to set up the simulator. i consider that time well spent because i like to know what's possible, and how to do it. but somebody who just wants to make art and all that technical detail only gets in the way is indeed probably better advised to buy some dynamic cloth. that cloth set looks nice, adp001 -- and way cool to include earrings that obey gravity.
