Never had any problems with Nero 6, but I use an internal drive. Used it also to backup all my content with a lot of files. So I think it could be an unlucky combinations of issues. At least install all the updates available.

I have an LG DVD Writer, but also my Plextor CD Writer works fine with Nero.

• Update the driver for your drive, or try other media or settings. Just another suggestion.
