**Now here is some questions:
1- What is your max budget to spend on a computer?
2-Are you in the USA or overseas? if overseas please tell me where! If you are in the USA and want my real advice..
I am a computer Tech and i am into computers since 1978 beleive it or not! If you want to buy a computer.. You have to ask your self a question, which is the most important part that will help you and many others to solve the bigget puzzle!!
What i am going to use it for?
Here is the answers:
1- If you are a gammer, you should stick to AMD and never touch the INTEL processors!!
2- If you want it as a graphic designer and or 3D rendering + handle most of the games, then go with only INTEL..Many people might say what the hell i am talking about! But again i can answer and tell! That no one on this earth has tried every single processors from the most famous four companies like me.. AMD - INTEL - MOTOROLA - VIA
Make it short.. Want it for graphics go for the INTEL at least 64BIT 930 P4-3.4Ghz with 2MB cache and start with 2GB of ram at least PC-4800 DDR2 (667Mhz)
Just tell me where you live and i will post you the nearest store with the cheapest prices ever you can dream of.. all depends on your budget! Wish if you are here in the USA and you know what (COMPUSA) is!! if you know what is that store and have one near you.. I will give you a coporate discount to help you and push you!!
Now smiles and have a wonderful day.. Best regards
JOE
Thank you so much for all the precise details and taking the time to advise me.
I'm in Thailand and use my computer only for work and also enjoying doing some artwork with Photoshop including retouching photos in RAW format. My budget for my next computer is around $us 1000 / 1500 .I really want something that allows me to use Photoshp CS2 and some 3D software. Presently i have a P3 running at 900 Mgz and no specific Graphic Card. Do you think thge budget is too short. Thank you again Joe
