Brilliant thread.

I didn't realise how much of an issue this was.I just accepted the fact that there were people visiting the photo gallery that were not in fact photographers,but just wankers,(excuse my language),looking for a thrill.

Every time I upload a pic of one of my daughters,for example,it gets something like 600 views.But the comments I get are from the same people I know and respect,who looked because they love photography and are not here to just ogle.

That's why the number of viewings is irrelevant to me.So I pay no attention to it.

As far as what I comment on...I couldn't say it any better than Kort already did.I do try to look at and comment on as much as I can...I try to be as encouraging as I can...but it's almost impossible.Sometimes the ebots keep me out of the gallery,entirely.

And as far as nudes...There are true artists here.Miranda,you are one of them...but there are quite a few,shall we say,'seedier' images posted in the gallery.I am sure these get 1000 viewings,too.Which only goes to show....viewings are meaningless.They just show the baser side of humanity...not the side that loves and respects art.

And Miranda...I'm sorry I missed your earlier work.If your current work is any indication,it must have been wonderful.
