I think a painting is more acceptable as a sculpture is.

 

I think that the issue that lies with photographic and rendered images is that they can be very detailed and graphic; any part of the anatomy in photography is a 2D scaled re-creation of the actual object to the minute detail. This in itself isn’t a problem, but add to that the use of such imagery in the adult industry, this is where the problems and issues creep in.
