Vue 5 Infinite exports not only meshes, but most texture image file formats (including alphas). And you can control the resolution of both the mesh and the images.

I don't have 3DsMax, and have not yet tried imports into Hex 2, so i'm not sure about the quality once imported into the 3D modeling app. Mostly, i import .OBJ files into Vue 5i from Silo 3D, which works great.
