Dour means harshly uninviting or formidable in manner or appearance.
Docks are where ships 'park' (haha) to load and unload cargo.
Therefor  the donors don't want to go to the dungeons which are at the docks but the dungeons are like a challenge to the donors daring them to visit them... (Something like that....)

OK:
