Also, would the monolith around Jupiter count as a spaceship? just wondering.  It's been mentioned before, but the ship(s) from When the Earth Collides (there was a sequel book, which just brought current fights between the Russians, Germans, etc., against the US ship on the new planet..too much baggage for nowadays..;)
