Ah haaaa!  It is a speaker. My daughter used to call them the "Singers".

Hehe, my memory... I saw this only once at Vanderbilt's on Long Island I guess, in '77. We sat there waiting in the dark for the show to begin, and all of a sudden it began! ... with the Big Bang!!! I was literally blown off my seat! :-) Thanks Anthony, I better start a new thread, right...
