Lets face it, getting Poser scenes out of Poser, into another 3D app is still a HACK.

If you are dealing with single frames or still scene's both apps might be worth the effort for the additional functionality and rendering options.

 Want a great all around 3D app - go with Carrara.

Want a app that is really great at doing landscapes and really large scenes - get Vue.

Both apps, (I have them) seem preety stable in their own enviornment.

ADD POSER - bets are off.

 ADD Poser Animation, Carrara can't handle it - VUE ain't much better (but is at least workable).
