I only use ShaderWorks because it has an Art Materials SPECIFIC "Toon Room".

The drawback of ShaderWorks is that it is Windows XP only and requires Microsoft's FrameWork to be installed on your PC. This greatly limits it usability among a wider range of people (especially MAC users).

Carrara's Toon and NPR effects are a lot easier to control and figure out- plus being cross-platform. I just hope that DCG takes a look at these links- if it can offer any new ideas for improving Toon Pro/NPR EFX in Carrara 5...
