I've been wondering about the compatability with existing programs and drivers. I remember that there were alot of problems when XP came out because hardly anyone had created XP drivers for their add-on hardware.

Poser may or may not run on Vista, the difference being that if you are testing a Vsta upgrade, many of the old drivers and other files will still be there. I have an old laptop that I upgraded from ME to XP. Some of the programs that will run on that machine will not run on my main computer, which was bought with XP already on it. Also I have heard that there are 6 different versions of Vista going to be available (only 5 to those of us in the UK), there may be compatability issuse with different versions.

Vista was supposed to be out ages ago, I think that one of the causes for the delays is that some of the governments had concerns over the improved security in the OS and wanted to have a "back door" put in so that they could still access any criminal activity the way they do now.
