Before departing, I got kicked off the new server briefly. When I found my way back on, I used the new server to get to the forums (instead of the handy and now obsolete drop-down list that still appears next to free stuff). I got the full list, showing that someone had posted to Blacksmith3D on June 11, 2006. I clicked on Blacksmith3D, and was told there were no new posts since my last visit, which as some months ago. So I asked it for "archives" and after walking through the idiot-box questions to select an "archive" (and dreading the possibility that if I specified a period that began before the forum opened, or before the change to the new forums, or an end-date that was still in the future, I might be told that I had guessed wrong and should try again. But lo, my archive setting worked and sure enough, no posts since April... about when the forums changed? So apparently that post on June 11 doesn't really exist after all....

Ask me if I care. Well, I feel sorry for the guy who sells Blacksmith and could probably use the buzz of R'osity forums to keep sales up. But he's obviously given up on R'osity as well, so more power to him. There are other ways to make a buck besides advertising on R'osity and spreading for DAZ.

Oh, and after trying to see the mysterious June 11 post, I went back to the Poser forums, and THEN (not before) was told that I was not logged on and would I please supply my password. Sure, why not? I don't need it any more.
