I know there are quite a few on the forum that speak German, so perhaps, Klac--you can post a thread requesting a German speaker for help. Here I go with my surely misspelled, grammatically wrong German (for perspective on what a German poster must feel like). No sprecken ze Deutsch. Just as an aside, many years ago, we were in Quebec camping and were on the island out in the river (forget the names) and wanted ice cubes for our cooler. I speak NO French, David a wee bit, but he's Southern and never got the accent quite right, so we were showing people our cooler, requesting 'little' glace' LOL. I suspect many could understand our English, but at that time (and maybe still), there was major aversion to speaking English out of the city and for business. We felt 'really' stupid, or at least unable to communicate. SAme way when we were in the hinterlands there at a butcher shop and trying to buy ground meat. Finally saw some and pointed. So--folks, have a little compassion--it feels terrible not to be able to communicate. (Oh, and then there was the big sign at the bathhouse elsewhere in Quebec with lots of times, etc. We were sure that it probably told us when men and women could shower, or some such, since it was coed. Turned out to be times for mass LOLOL)
