I guess I do use the small font from this here, instead of the default because the default is even tinier! I can hardly see the size small-but if I use anything larger than small I really have a lot of scrolling to do-which you see the screen capture I sent you.
It's my habit to go to the forums via the word forum at the top of the page, and long time ago I selected which forums to hide so my list is shorter. But I still did not notice that drop down thing at the bottom of the page. If someone had a really long list of forms they like to visit I imagine they might not even see that.
Thank you for your e-mail, at the very least it helps in trying to cope with the changes and to even consider staying here. I also forgot to tell you the upload problems that I was having. Because of having to make so many more selections in the upload process it's gotten cumbersome. I browse to my files and had those addresses in the proper fields, and I had found the place to notify me and the place to allow comments, but just because I did not tick off "none" for the rating I got bounced back (oh here come the scrollbars!) To the upload page and everything I had entered already was gone so I had to re- browse to my files and fill everything out all over again. I know this may sound like nothing but for a person with some physical disabilities every click of a mouse that is required and every field that one must type in takes that much more effort. I am actually using a speech to text software program which works very well all over the Internet but has become overreactive and oddly acting here since the change. At any given moment I may lose my entire post and that is not relaxing. I understand the box that I am typing-speaking into right now has been created so that people can have all kinds of fancy fonts and icons etc. but for me it just actually makes it more difficult.
BUT aside from the scrollbars-the need to have this box wider, I would not, of course, expect any changes just because my software has trouble with it.
By the way, in the galleries now that stupid pop-up with information about exactly time of uploading that comes up over the thumbnails is just- well -just annoying! Unlike other gallery sites where the pop-up is actually the written words that the creator put in, I couldn't believe the pop-up just had time and date. Information that is really of no use, I think? Just makes the site more bulky with gadgets and bells and whistles. Simple and clean is better.
Thanks again Karen for being so responsive.
