Hi Karen,
What I mean by client-side validation is a piece of Javascript that runs when the user clicks the Submit button. Instead of directly submitting the contents of the form to the server, the Javascript will first check if everything on the form is filled out OK. If not, an error message will be displayed and the contents will not be sent to the server.
Two advantages:
This kind of script is pretty standard. Any programmer worth his salt can make it in just about no time at all.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
