By way of trying to stay somewhat true to the original story, I patterned the Chimera after some of the oldest Greek statues found of it. Head of a lion, body of a goat, serpent tail.  Some of them had a goat's head peeking out of the lion's mane, too, but some didn't. I went with the simplest.
