The activation for VF is a two-step process: first you get a serial number. This serial number is entered at the VF site and issues an activation code. This is the code that activates your software. See FAQ:

"Product Activation Required - Once you complete your purchase go to: http://www.virtual-fashion.com/html/en/register.php. Enter your serial number and Security Code as displayed along with your valid email address (confirmation will be sent to you upon completion). You will then be directed to a page where you are given an activation code and you select a username and password. Once VF has downloaded and been installed, launch VF, go to the VF Resource Manager and enter your username, password and activation code (all of which are case-sensitive). Note: an Internet connection is required to validate the activation code. If you do not enter the activation code within 10 hours of use, the program will cease to function, so we recommend you do it immediately."
